Sequant Capital Ltd - formerly Central Markets (London) Ltd
Sequant Capital, a financial advisory firm incorporated in 2007, entered liquidation on 19 September 2018. Previously known as Central Markets (London) Limited, the firm was declared in default by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) on 5 February 2019 and valid claims became open to processing.
The FSCS has received claims, including from customers who purchased unlisted shares in Oxford Renewable Fuel Ltd, which was purported to be a market leader in renewable energy, producing commercial quantities of biofuel.
Oxford Renewable Fuel raised £7 million from around 340 investors through various introducers and a number of Independent Financial Advisers (IFAs), including Sequant Capital Ltd.
Sequant Capital may have also promoted shares in other unlisted companies such as Otreus Oil and Gas Company Ltd, Crescent Energy Ltd, and Palmetto Energy plc.
In addition to claims related to investments in unlisted shares, the firm may have advised clients to trade in Contracts for Difference (CFDs). CFDs are high-risk ‘derivatives’ that allow customers to speculate on the future price of an asset (shares, commodities) without owning the underlying asset itself. Such advice would have been unsuitable for those without experience in such products.
CP Financial Claims can assist you with a claim to the FSCS for any financial losses you may have incurred due to unsuitable, high-risk investments following advice provided by Sequant Capital Limited/Central Markets (London) Limited.
